Frequently asked questions
Gandi has a new website, and an old website: each one has its own unique logins and passwords.
When you log into our new website (https://www.gandi.net), you must use the username and password that you chose for our new website when you created your account or performed the migration process.
You CAN NOT log into the new website with the old website (https://v4.gandi.net) handle and password. Doing so will launch the account migration/activation process.

If you just finished an owner change or transfer of a domain to Gandi, but cannot see your domain name in your list of domains, this is most likely because you did not yet accept the invitation email.
This step is important because it tells us what account you will use to view and manage the domain.
Please check the inbox of the email address used for the domain's owner for a mail that has a subject starting with: "Invitation to manage" and follow the instructions.
After you complete this step, you will see your domain name.

We only launch orders once we have confirmed that the payment has cleared (see the usual delays)
Then, depending on the nature of your order, it may require some additional action, or be subject to normal registry delays.

There are a couple of ways that you can link your domain to your website:
- Web Forwarding: If you just want to redirect visitors from your domain or an address on your domain to an existing website (see how)
- DNS Records: If you built a website using a website builder (CMS) and are told you need to update your zone file or DNS records at your registrar to point to their servers (see how).
- Nameservers: If your website is being hosted at a web host who provides you with some nameservers that you are told that you need to update (see how).
Please keep in mind that none of the above are immediate. It takes time for the internet to be updated with the new information. Please allow for up to 24 hours before testing and contacting support as usually you just need to wait for your changes to take effect.

Protect your trademark by registering it in the Trademark ClearingHouse (TMCH) database with Gandi.
Once you have done this, you can register domains corresponding to your trademark during an extension's Sunrise Period. You will also be notified when someone tries to register a domain corresponding to your trademark.
